What is the best necklace length to suit me?

If you don't have an idea of your ideal necklace length or can measure a necklace that you already have and wear the below charts are the some indicators of how various necklace lengths/ sizes sit on average males and females.

Women's necklace lengths

35cm/ 14" Necklace

Fits like a choker and wraps closely around the neck on a petite woman.
40cm/16" Necklace  Necklace Falls perfectly around the base of the neck like a collar. On a plus size women it might sit more like a choker.
45cm-50/ 18"-20" Necklace A common choice for women that sits elegantly on the collarbone.
55cm/ 22" Necklace  Falls at or just above the top of the bust.
60cm/ 24" Necklace Falls mid bust on an average women.

 

Men's necklace lengths

45cm/ 18" Necklace

Sits choker or at the base of the neck (for smaller neck sizes).

50cm/ 20" Necklace 

Reaches the collarbone (most common length for average men).

55cm/ 22" Necklace

Falls a few inches below the collarbone.

60cm/ 24" Necklace

Reaches just above the sternum.
